Housing has tremendous social and economic impact on total living environment. It has direct and immediate influence on health, education, economy and environment, also political and social life of any society (Sinha, 1978). This research paper focuses on the relationship between housing price and income in Uzbekistan. The paper aims to answer the key question are whether labor income growth is keeping up with housing price growth? Therefore, during conducting research, we emphasize on issues of undersupply of affordable housing and mismatch of property rise and income in capital city of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. Availability and affordability of decent housing has become an important economic and social concern in Uzbekistan. Findings indicated that housing costs are very high in Tashkent city compared with other regions which caused a shortage of supply housing especially for low-income groups. There is a need for government to pay more attention to housing needs of middle income groups. Overall, the data represent a first consideration that housing is the main source of wealth for most households in the capital city, Tashkent. According to data analysis, the value of the households’ main residence accounted for 60.2 percent of total real assets in the capital and as much as 49.5 percent of total household assets in 2018. It is evidence that the value of a households’ residence represents the largest share of the household’s total asset portfolio. Thus, policies and regulations that affect households’ ability to obtain, use, and profit from their immovable assets will certainly matter for their ability to generate an income. The second consideration is that home ownership is strongly correlated with income and net wealth in Tashkent
