Аннотация

This paper investigates the shadow economy and its impact on household finance, particularly income generation and wealth accumulation. The shadow economy encompasses a wide range of informal economic activities that occur outside the purview of government regulations, taxation, and social protection systems. Through a comprehensive literature review and examination of various theories and models, the paper identifies factors driving the growth of the shadow economy and explores its effects on household financial outcomes. The findings reveal that the shadow economy can negatively impact household finance in several ways, including lower wages, job insecurity, limited access to credit, lack of social protection, and reduced human capital development. The paper also outlines strategies for combating the shadow economy and discusses the implications of these findings for policy interventions aimed at promoting financial inclusion, reducing informality, and improving overall economic well-being.
